Altai Finance Our Team
Our name is taken from the Altai mountain range in central Asia, where Mongolia, China, Kazakhstan and Russia converge.
Altai is derived from underlying form altañ “gold”. In Old Turkic: (altun, “gold”).
The Altai mountains are over 2,400 kms from the coast, one of the farthest places in the world from the ocean. The area is sparsely populated, with local populations living largely a nomadic traditional lifestyle, largely unaffected by the modern world.
The Altai mountains are pristine and unspoilt. The people are a resilient, optimistic, friendly and hospitable bunch. These qualities were necessary for survival in the past, and this still holds true today.
